Responsibility

“It’s surely our responsibility to do everything within our power to create a planet that provides a home not just for us, but for all life of earth”
– Sir David Attenborough, 2016.

At Zoonique we try to operate both our holidays and our office in a conscientious and responsible manner. These responsibilities fall in to three main categories that you can explore below:

Customer Responsibility: As members of the Travel Trust Association (ID: Q5822) we offer full financial protection throughout your holiday. This coverage also extends to any flights that we book on your behalf as they are fully protected under the ATOL scheme.

Wildlife Responsibility: We work only with tour operators and guides who have a proven respect and passion for wildlife, this is usually reflected in an environmental code of practice or the application of wildlife watching guidelines. We will NOT partner with those who seek to profit from the harmful exploitation of wildlife, accordingly there are certain activities and excursions that we will not book out of principle. If you request a tailormade holiday with any activity that we feel is inappropriate (for example swimming with captive dolphins) then we will not book it and will instead suggest an alternative itinerary.

Environmental Responsibility: The fact is we all have a responsibility to maintain the environment, this is especially true for us at Zoonique Headquarters. Although an ecotourism company we are still an office that uses paper and have travel arrangements we attend to on a regular basis, however, this allows us the opportunity to limit our impact on the environment as well.

We try to achieve this by:

  • Being as paperless as possible, all our promotional materials are printed on recycled paper.
  • Limiting unnecessary travel.
  • Lowering our reliance on plastic as much as we can.
  • Offering carbon offsetting options on all our flights.
